Carina’s journey and teachings

Carina originally hails from a dance and movement background having performed contemporary dance from a young age and studied at Chichester University. Her first experience of yoga was back in 2012 after being invited to a hot yoga class. Little did she know that this would become the start of something that has compelled her ever since. ‘I fell in love with the physical practice of yoga straight away. I experienced a real sense of inner calm after a class and was able to achieve a stronger more supple body that was less prone to injury.’ As her yoga practiced deepened she witnessed a new found freedom, an inner peace and mental focus both on and off her mat.

In her early 20s, Carina faced a series of life challenges that deeply shaped her journey and inspired years of self-discovery and growth. Through these experiences, she developed a profound understanding of resilience, healing, and the importance of self-connection. Using these lessons as a catalyst for transformation, Carina has devoted herself to helping others navigate their own paths with compassion and awareness.

Her journey led her to yoga, where she discovered the power of presence—learning to show up for herself and others through movement, breath, and stillness. This practice introduced her to the deeper, non-physical aspects of yoga: mindfulness, meditation, and the simple act of being. These remain at the heart of her teaching and personal practice today.

An avid Ashtanga and Vinyasa practitioner, Carina has explored many styles of yoga over the years. Her practice has taken her to retreats and workshops around the world, including multiple month-long study trips to Mysore, India, where she trained under the guidance of Ajay Kumar and Vinay Kumar.

Carina is passionate about making yoga both accessible and challenging, finding real purpose in sharing her knowledge and helping students connect with the deeper essence of the practice. From her acclaimed Restorative Reset class to her dynamic vinyasa flows, Carina’s uplifting sessions take students of all levels on a creative journey that unites body, mind, and breath.
